Operating Model

Purpose
The purpose of this task is to find out the chief executive team that Vanity Fair is run by.

Meaning
This means that I am able to find out each individual executive team members position and clarify what their roles and responsibilities are within Conde Nast. 

An operating model is a theoretical representation of how an organisation operates through processed and technological territories to enable it to operate smoothly.

A Senior management team is a group on individuals that work at the highest level of organisational management, who have day-to-day responsibilities of managing a company or corporation.

Here is a chart of the Senior Management Team at Condé Nast, the company that has parent ownership over Vanity Fair and other related magazine and fashion companies such as Vogue or Vanity Fair.

Chief Executive Officer role:
A Chief Executive Officer's role is a top-ranking corporate position, responsible for reviewing operations. Often, these positions include reporting to the chairman of the board and board members to review the business that is being overseen. 

Presidents role: 
This is the highest "titled" corporate officer and usually a member of the board of directors. This role is often called the CEO of a company, however in others there are two separate roles for a president and a CEO. 

Editor and Chief:
The Editor and Chief of a business like Conde Nast heads all departments of the organisation and is help responsible for dividing tasks to members of staff and making sure these tasks are being performed correctly.

Chief Marketing Officer: 
This role is a corporate executive responsible for marketing activities in an organisation. Regularly the position reports to the chief executive officer or the chief brand officer. 

Chief Financial Officer:
This role is of a corporate officer, primarily responsible for managing the financial risks of a business, in this case, Conde Nast. This position is also responsible for financial planning and record-keeping, as well as financial reporting to the higher management positions. 

Chief Administrative Officer:
This is the position of a top level executive who supervise the daily operations of a business and are ultimately responsible for its performance.

Chief Digital Officer:
This is an individual that help a company, (in this case Conde Nast), covert traditional "analog" businesses into digital ones and oversees operations in the swiftly changing digital sectors like mobile applications and social media. For example, now Conde Nast's subsidiary companies all allow customers to purchase digital versions of their latests issues. These copies can be for iPads, iPhones, Androids and laptops.
