Products
The purpose of this task is to demonstrate the different types of products that Vanity Fair offers and discuss their features and meaning.
Meaning
This means that I will be able to write about the different type of digital copies Vanity Fair makes for its customers along with the hard copies that are sold.
Vanity Fair produce non-fictional magazines, that are sold under their company name. However, their resources originate from the business's parent company, Conde Nast. This parent company must review Vanity Fair's products before they are launched to judge whether the produced product (magazine) is at the right standard and covers the correct categories. It is then Vanity Fair's responsibility to distribute the magazines.
In 2013 Vanity Fair celebrated their 100th Anniversary of business. Throughout this time, Vanity Fair has published 100's of magazines, releasing a new copy each month, selling 1000's of issues from a variety of retailers throughout the world. They are able distribute their issues around the world with the help from Conde Nast's contacts. Being such a large company, parenting so many of the leading fashion magazine businesses throughout the world, Conde Nast have the contacts that allow their subsidiary businesses such as Vanity Fair, to distribute their products to many different stores and branches, increasing sales revenue.
Product Variations
Even through Vanity Fair is a company that solely focuses of providing customers with magazines about fashion/lifestyle, variations of these products have been made to adapt and appeal to different customer needs. For example, online versions of each issue is now ofter for people to purchase instead/as well as hard copies. These digital copies are sold on this subsidiary company's website and on its parents', Conde Nast.
These copies are diverse in a sense that they can be purchased and downloaded for different devises, depending on what customers choose. These devises include iPhones, Androids, iPads, electronic book folders, iPods and laptops.
